Brian Curtiss – is one of the founders of ASD, Inc. and serves as Chief Technical Officer. He has over 30 years experience in the field of spectroscopy and optical sensing and holds a B.A. in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Washington University in St. Louis and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Geochemistry from the University of Washington. As a post-doctoral research fellow at CalTech, he assisted in the development of the field portable spectroscopic instrumentation. Prior to joining ASD, he held a research faculty position at the University of Colorado in Boulder. After co-foundering ASD Inc. in 1990, Dr. Curtiss served as principal investigator on seven NASA, NSF and DOE funded research projects. In his current position as ASD’s Chief Technical Officer, Dr. Curtiss applies his experience in the fields of spectroscopy and optical imaging to a diverse range of analytical problems in the natural resource industries.
Marlena Kycko – Works at University of Warsaw, Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, Chair of Geomatics and Information Systems where she teaches Geostatistics and Remote Sensing. Her main areas of scientific interest are geostatistics, ASD FieldSpec data acquisition and data processing, environmental analyses, vegetation condition assessment.
Niels Christian Moen – works at Norsk Elektro Optikk in Norway (HySpex) as an UAV specialist.
Niels has a background and education from sonar and radar sensors on submarines in the Norwegian Navy.
In 2010 he founded the drone company Camflight which focused on complete aerial mapping systems including software.
From 2017 he has been working at HySpex with integration of their hyperspectral cameras on UAVs and processing of hyperspectral data.
Jan Niedzielko – remote sensing expert in MGGP Aero, polish provider of aerial photography, geo-information and remote sensing services including data analyses. Graduated from the Department of Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing, Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies at the University of Warsaw. Responsible for hyperspectral aerial imagery processing and aerial remote sensing data analysis. He is involved in research projects of environmental analyses, vegetation classification and condition assessment using multisensor aerial data.
Szymon Stolarek – works at Malvern Panalytical B.V. company which acquired ASD, Inc.
Szymon is a chemist with analytical background including XRF, XRD and NIR technology and over 15 years of experiences in analysis of minerals using mentioned techniques.
Szymon is responsible for NIR and XRD business lines in Poland.
Edwin Raczko – Works at University of Warsaw, Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, Chair of Geomatics and Information Systems where he teaches Geography. His main areas of scientific interest are machine learning, pattern recognition and image processing.
